A Picture is Worth a 1,000 Words: Ekphrasis 2-part Workshop

Ekphrasis is a vivid, often dramatic, verbal description of a visual work of art.  It is not ‘art criticism’ but more about adding enriched meaning to art through the written/spoken word.  Ekphrasis is not an embellished description of a work of art, but is creative writing that uses a work of art as a starting-off point.  Ekphrastic writing can actually become a stand-alone work of art itself.
