Rose Fortune Monument Unveiling and Dedication
Rose Fortune will be honoured by The Historical Association of Annapolis Royal and the community with a special monument in the Garrison Graveyard on Canada Day. She was an African-Canadian Loyalist who operated a transport business with a wheelbarrow and is recognized as the first policewoman in Canada.
