Land & Sea Symbol Poetry, Afternoon at the O
August 11, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This laid back activity invites participants of all experience levels, especially those who may think they aren’t creative, to tap into their observation skills and practice sharing their stories of the land and sea. We will start with gentle wandering in the space and sketching of simple symbols that stand out to us from the surroundings. Then we will individually sit with these symbols and reflect on the stories of our lives within them. Everyone will be invited to write as little or as much as they choose from these reflections with optional sharing back to the group. This is a wonderful opportunity to practice your poetry, spoken word, creative writing, sketching, personal reflection, and storytelling skills or just to relax and reflect.
