Fundyboats – Then & Now

June 25, 2017

Fundy Boatworks is a collaboration exploring and celebrating Maritime culture. This Sesquicentenial project is researching Annapolis County boatbuilding activity; beginning with Mi’Kmaq ocean-going canoes, tracing through the ages of sail and steam, and continuing through to the contemporary fishing vessels.

We will feature images by Dan Froese Photography and, wherever possible, will be using art to illustrate this historical subject. This project is a partnership of the Annapolis Heritage Society and the Annapolis Region Community Arts Council. We will visit the boats born here, the boats working here and boats dying here – through photographs taken of local boats; paintings and models made of them, as well as through the experience of our communities with these boats.

June 25th- September

Admission for the O’Dell House Museum and the Genealogy Centre is by donation; the suggested amount is $3.00.
