Clay Modeling Workshop

Modeling on Clay and Mannequin Plaster Mould : Basic Sculpting with Vasilis Vasili
2-day workshop May 12 & 13, 10-3pm.
$125 ARCAC Member / $140 Non-member
Maximum 12 people (age 16+)
Materials: Clay or Plasticine and plaster. Learn the first and basic steps of making sculpture.
The participants will choose between two themes. The first will be representative and the second will be developing an Idea.
Type of sculpting: Relief
Dimensions: 20×35 cm
Day one
Brief introduction to Vasilis and his work. He will talk about the workshop project and suggest themes for participants to work on.
Day one will include an instructor demo, after which participants will start their own moulds and have one-on-one assistance with Vasilis.
Day Two
Process and casting. Participants will be given a demo on the process of casting their moulds in plaster. Depending on experience and skill, participants will also have the option of working in 3D (rather than just relief). Participants will have the option of taking their finished cast piece home.
