ARTSPLACE and ARCAC Members invite you to Groove, an exhibition that explores the rhythms, textures, and patterns that shape our experience of art. Whether through tactile surfaces, layered materials, subject matter, sculptural elements, or sound-based works, we encourage artists to dive into the physicality of creation. The exhibition will include a guided touch tour designed to broaden access for audiences, including people who are blind or have low vision, and those who benefit from tactile engagement.

Artists were encouraged to interpret Groove in a variety of ways—whether through the physical grooves of carved, woven, or layered surfaces; the rhythmic repetition found in patterns, mark-making, and natural formations; or the sensory experience of sound waves, vibrations, and movement. Whether subtle or bold, structured or organic, Groove encourages us to explore the dynamic interplay of touch, materiality, rhythm, and the forces of nature in their work. Consider how the process itself becomes part of the experience—how each decision made in carving, molding, or layering influences the final expression, making the work a tangible, dynamic force.
