Play: Don’t Dress for Dinner

April 27, 2018 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

“Don’t Dress for Dinner” – In a converted farmhouse, Bernard (Tim Danttouze) is hoping to entertain his chic, Parisian mistress, Suzy (Miriam Orlando), for the weekend. He has arranged for a cordon bleu cook (Alexi Payzant) to furnish the gourmet delights, and is in the process of packing his wife, Jacqueline (Colleen Rowland), off to her mother, and has even invited along his best friend Robert (Simon Bonnington), as a suitable alibi.  And for good measure, the cook’s husband George (Scott McQuillin) is also a chef!  It’s foolproof, what could possibly go wrong?

Marc Camoletti’s fabulously funny farce “Don’t Dress for Dinner” was a smash-hit in Paris (under the original title Pyjamas pour Six), where it ran for over two years.  Robin Hawdon’s adaptation of this French original was premiered in 1991 and played to critical acclaim at London’s Apollo Theatre.  Brought to King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal this April by the Annapolis District Drama Group, performances are April 27 and 28, 7:30 pm and 29 at 2:00 pm.  Tickets $14 Advance, $16 Door and $10 Youth/Student available from the King’s Theatre Box Office 902-532-7704.
