ARTSPLACE: Art Chat with Sable Island Artist-in-Residence, Nayani Jensen

Join us in-person or online for a conversation live from Sable Island with artist-in-residence Nayani Jensen and Sable Island Institute President, Zoe Lucas.

During her residence, Nayani will be working on a chapbook of field-note poetry and observations about the island.

“I’ve been fascinated by Sable Island for as long as I can remember. I cannot wait to write and explore and think deeply about this incredible landscape and nature writing and art.”

“My academic work looks at the history of climate communication, so this intersection of environmental writing and creative work is really a dream for me.”

With moderator Zoe Lucas (Sable Island Institute president), Nayani will share early outcomes of the residency and take questions.

This talk continues ARTSPLACE’s experiments with new tools for the age-old art of conversation. Join us in person upstairs at ARTSPLACE or online via Zoom.
