A Community Tree Planting Project

COMMUNITY SESSION

Location: Dugua Room, Annapolis Royal Library (145 Ritchie Street)
Facilitated by: Angelika Walkdow-Julien on behalf of the Town of Annapolis Royal

Join your neighbours to discover the trees that have been planted across our town as part of this 2 year project. Learn about their impact, species selection and planting techniques. See how our community is growing greener! The event will include a brief discussion, followed by a guided tour of newly planted trees at the Academy. Snacks and refreshements will be served.

AMENDMENT TO LAND USE BY-LAW – 52 St. Patricks Lane

MOTION #C2026-07-22-10 – First Reading

It was regularly moved and seconded that Council approve First Reading of the amendments to the Land Use By-law to rezone lands of Shelley and Steve Dyet located at 52 St. Patricks Lane (PID 05000328) from Residential Single Unit (RSU) to Residential Two Unit (RTU) to permit the development of dwelling unit within an existing accessory structure pursuant to the application, site plan and building design details dated June 3, 2026. Motion carried.

MOTION #C2026-07-22-11– Set Public Hearing Date

It was regularly moved and seconded that that Council set the Public Hearing date for the amendments to the Land-Use By-law to rezone 52 St. Patricks Lane (PID 05000328) from Residential Single Unit (RSU) to Residential Two Unit (RTU) to be September 1, 2026 at 5:00 pm. Motion carried.

MOTION #CoW2026-09-01-03 – Second & Final Reading

It was regularly moved and seconded that Council amend Schedule A – Zoning Map of the Town of Annapolis Royal Land Use By-law to rezone lands of Annapolis Royal located at 52 St. Patricks Lane (PID 05000328) from Residential Single Unit (RSU) to Residential Two Unit (RTU). Motion carried.
