ARTSPLACE: Inviting Impressions – Meet Artist Ted Lind

“My paintings and drawings are multi-layered, and looking at them provides little jolts of pleasure, although it’s impossible to say why. They require no external stimuli, no subject matter and no obvious end point. Colours, shapes, and thinking about how things fit together is what it’s about.

At the start, I am unsure how a painting or drawing will develop. Also, it is hard to know sometimes when it is finished. It can be daunting to not know where I am heading each time, but there is always a moment when, surprisingly, I try something and it all seems to fall into place.

This exhibit of my work invites you to create a title or short description of the select pieces shown here – as you can see they all have no titles or statements.
