UPDATE:

The well-being and safety of our residents, business operators, visitors and staff is our top priority.  Council will continue to closely monitor the new developments and public health notices regarding COVID-19. In light of the reporting of the cases of Coronavirus in the province, and in response to the advice of Nova Scotia’s Chief Health Officer, the following steps are being taken to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community:

  • Effective on October 5, 2020, the Community Hub Gym located at 590 St. George Street has reopened and resumed offering organized recreation programs.
  • All sub-committees will meet virtually as required, with Committee of the Whole and Council meetings continuing at this time at adjusted times and held virtually. Minutes from the meetings are posted on our website within 24 hours.
  • Town Hall is open regular hours Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Face masks are mandatory.
  • The Comfort Station is open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm.
