COVID-19

UPDATE:

The well-being and safety of our residents, business operators, visitors and staff is our top priority.  Council will continue to closely monitor the new developments and public health notices regarding COVID-19. In light of the reporting of the cases of Coronavirus in the province, and in response to the advice of Nova Scotia’s Chief Health Officer, the following steps are being taken to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community:

  • Effective April 28, 2021, Town Hall is closed to the public until further notice. Please call 902-532-2043 to leave a message, staff will get back to you ASAP.
  • Effective on April 28, 2021, the Community Hub Gym located at 590 St. George Street is closed to the public until further notice.
  • All sub-committees will meet virtually as required, with Committee of the Whole and Council meetings continuing at this time at adjusted times and held virtually. Minutes from the meetings are posted on our website within 24 hours.
  • The Comfort Station is closed to the public until further notice.
  • We are encouraging on-line payments through the bank or on-line.
