Establishing the Annapolis Pool Committee

Policy Statement:

    1. Council hereby establishes the Annapolis Pool Committee as a standing committee.
    2. The mandate of the Annapolis Pool Committee is:
      1. To support continued operations of the Annapolis Pool as an outdoor recreational facility for the community;
      2. To bring forward to Council their annual budget for approval and any budget request relevant to carrying out its mandate;
      3. To take action on such matters as are lawfully delegated to it by statute or by Council;
      4. To advise and make recommendations to Council and to report to Council monthly.
    3. The mandate of the Committee does not include day-to-day operations of the pool.
    4. The mandate of the Committee does not include running events.
    5. The Committee is authorized by Council to form sub-committees or task forces to deal with a particular issue within the Committee’s mandate and that any sub-committee or task force be chaired by a member of the Annapolis Pool Committee.
    6. The Annapolis Pool Committee shall be composed of two Council Members, three Friends of the Annapolis Pool Society Members, and, that members be appointed by Council annually, in November of each year.
    7. The Chair of the Annapolis Pool Committee will be a member of Council.
